For the introduction of their running shoe product line, Etonic had a typical problem that many manufacturers face with a new product line. The marketing for a new line must be launched well in advance of the actual manufacturing of the products. Etonic had rough prototypes of their line of running shoes but needed more finished images for their sales materials. Prototypes are generally mockups with rough painted parts, etc. They give a rough idea what the final product will look like, but they generally appear unfinished and less polished than the actual products.
This is where DreamLight was brought in. Our goals were to illustrate the product line as if it had already been manufactured and to showcase the technology that goes into these top of the line running shoes. These illustrations would be used for brochures, posters and various other types of sales collateral.
By illustrating these products digitally, we are able to create the entire product line much more easily than could be done traditionally. With traditional airbrush, an entire new set of illustrations would have had to been created.
